Listening is our process at Blue Star. Open dialogue and active listening builds trust and results in truly hearing and understanding each other. From this, a strong and unified vision will arise as a guiding philosophy for all decisions. It will help us use common sense and come to a consensus. It will help us discuss, debate, and define how we approach beauty, durability, sustainability, and affordability. The vision will lead to strong support, solid partnerships, and open minds, and result in solutions and outcomes that will be inventive and inspiring. What’s more, taking the time to hear and understand each other creates a foundation of integrity, accountability, and hard work. If that’s what you expect in a partnership, let’s work together.
We make notable impact on how people live and move in relationship with built and natural environments. The Buildings Services branch of the Bodwé Group partners with Indigenous, federal, and community clients to deliver full-service AE solutions and projects from planning and development through construction administration and occupancy.
The Bodwé Infrastructure Services branch offers civil engineering, planning, and environmental consulting for municipal, federal, Indigenous, and transportation clients. We work as full-service, multi-disciplinary teams across the Bodwé family of companies and in partnership with our waterways and ecosystems.
For more than 10 years, Bodwé has provided contract support services to federal agencies as an extension of Seven Generations A+E design services. Today, our Federal Support Services branch is a significant and expanding focus for the Bodwé Group, with a field staff of dozens of experts serving diverse roles within federal agency teams.
Blue Star Integrative Studio was founded as an ally and responsible steward of tribal resources geared towards strengthening sovereignty, empowerment, and cultural expression. Our team has a long-standing track record of planning, design, and construction projects in Indian Country, from government facilities and pow wow arbors to health clinics and supportive housing.
Blue Star brings varied and deep experience in single and multi-unit housing and neighborhood development, including traditional design-bid-build, design-build, and integrated project delivery methods. Our housing experience includes elder, disabled, recovery, supportive, workforce, and mixed-use housing projects.
We understand and relish planning and development projects. Blue Star helps clients stretch, organize, and quantify their dreams and goals into clear and obtainable direction. Blue Star has expertise and resources to guide these efforts; from feasibility studies and existing building assessments to federal, Tribal, state, and local-level grant funding and historic documentation.
BSIS collaborates to find place-based solutions to better communities, including Native Nations, communities of color, and others who are marginalized, disabled, or disadvantaged. Blue Star brings deep experience in community master planning, cultural and community centers, and single and multi-unit neighborhoods.
Our mission is to benefit future generations of Pokagon citizens and with that long view in mind we choose the often-hard work of doing what’s meaningful and good. We choose it again and again to benefit wellness and missions and opportunities for people.
If you are interested in beginning a new project, you are a potential teaming partner, or you just want to chat about great architecture and engineering, please drop us a note.
